It is used as a blowing agent.is a white, solid crystalline tertiary amine compound. It is used extensively as a catalyst to promote both gelling and blowing reactions in the production of flexible, semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foams as well as elastomers and adhesives. It is available in solutions of dipropylene glycol (L33), ethylene glycol (L33E) and 1,4-butanediol (L25B).
